This book of Roman Corobov PhD, presented as a scientific monograph, reviews thoroughly the recent literature on different aspects of the climate change problem. Numerous scientific and political recommendations are illustrated by original findings and case studies based mainly on Moldova and other FSU countries research. Taking into account that the weakest place of environmental and climate change research in this region is insufficient knowledge of international studies, the book partially fills this gap. The novelty of the monograph is framing of climate change problems as a challenging environmental and human-influenced development issue that shifts policy strategies from a mono-disciplinary approach, with an emphasis on natural sciences, towards an interdisciplinary research strategy with stronger focus on co-production of scientific knowledge between natural and social scientists, policymakers, and society.

International Conference „Transboundary Cooperation in Adaptation of Dniester River Basin Region to Climate Change”.

The confrence resulting the Eco-TIRAS in cooperation with the South (Odessa) Branch of the Ukrainian Ecological Academy of Sciences project will held in Chisinau on November 18, 2011, as a result of the one-year-duration project „Strengthening of Moldova-Ukraine cooperation and public participation in the development and implementation of transboundary policies and measures for climate change adaptation of Dniester water resources”.

NGOs „Vitality”, „Renaşterea Rurală” and „Eco-Tox”, the Eco-TIRAS members, in cooperation with scientists developed and published the poster with fishes of transboundary Middle and Lower Dniester. In total there are reflected 84 species and forms of fishes. The work has been done in frames of the project supported by GEF via UNDP Moldova.

МОЛОДЕЖНАЯ ЛЕТНЯЯ ШКОЛА «ДНЕСТР-2011»

В июле 2011 года Эко-ТИРАС в сотрудничестве с неправительственными организациями Молдовы и Приднестровья, членами ассоциации, организует уже традиционную (в четвертый раз) летнюю школу «Днестр-2011». Летняя школа пройдет в селе Маловата Ноуэ Дубоссарского района на левом берегу Днестра. 70 молодых людей  возрастом 16-22 года (по 35 с правого и левого берегов), интересующихся проблемами развития гражданского общества, географии, экологии, и желающих углубить свои знания в этих областях, примут участие в ней.  примут в ней участие.
