Dniester River Basin Treaty has been signed in Rome
The Dniester River Basin treaty has been signed on November 29, 2012, in Rome, Italy, during the 6th Meeting of Parties of the UNECE Water Convention. It is a very important event, which permits to develop transboundary Dniester River Basin cooperation between two riparian countries – Moldova and Ukraine. Eco-TIRAS founder BIOTICA Ecological Society and Eco-TIRAS fighted for that more then 16 years.
Dniester river basin - Environmental Atlas
The bilingual Environmental Atlas of the Dniester Basin developed in the framework of the Dniester III project has been launched on the 14 December 2012. The Environmental Atlas of the Dniester Basin is this the first attempt to present the environmental state of the transboundary river in a visual format. It includes over 30 thematic maps of the basin, graphics, diagrams and pictures. The target groups for the Atlas are specialists in environmental protection, as well as the authorities and the population in the Dniester basin.
