Academician Leo Berg – 150 years. International Conference.

Академику Л.С. Бергу – 150 лет. Международная конференция.

March 14, 2026 marks the 150^th anniversary of the birth of the famous naturalist, academician Lev Semenovich Berg. A native of Moldova, L.S. Berg made an invaluable contribution to such sciences as biology, ichthyology, the theory of evolution, geography, and many others. In his memory, an international scientific conference will be held in his hometown of Bender on March 13, 2026, and its proceedings will be published. The organizers are the International Association of River Keepers “Eco-TIRAS”, the L.S. Berg Foundation and the Bender City Museum. This is the 6^th such conference organized starting from 2001. 14 марта 2026 года исполняется 150 лет со дня рождения знаменитого естествоиспытателя академика Льва Семеновича Берга. Уроженец Молдовы, Л.С. Берг внес неоценимый вклад в такие науки как биология и география и многие другие. В память о нем в его родном городе Бендеры 13 марта 2026 года будет организована международная научная конференция и будут опубликованы ее материалы. Организаторами выступают Международная ассоцияция хранителей реки “Eco-TIRAS”, Фонд имени Л.С. Берга и городской музей Бендер. Это 6-я подобная конференция, организованная нами.
