The international environmental conference in Tiraspol
The International Conference “Geo-Ecological and Bio-Ecological Challenges of the Northern Black Sea Region” will be held on November 9-10,2012 inTiraspol, Transnistria. The Conference is a joint initiative of theTransnisterStateUniversity (Tiraspol), the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources fromTiraspol and environmental NGOs – Eco-TIRAS (Chisinau) and Ecospectrum (Bender). Such conferences were already organized inTiraspol in 2001, 2005, 2009.
Organizers have a scope to unite the forces of scientists from the region (Transnistria, Moldova, Ukraine and Russia) on the sustainable management of natural resources and environment in conditions of climate change and economics in transition. The transboundary Dniester River management issues occupy the important role in the agenda because the surrounding countries highly dependent from this watercourse management which in last period was a subject of the OSCE – UNECE – UNEP/ENVSEC project.
More then 170 reports should be presented during conference. More then 60 scientists and NGOs from right-bank Moldova and more then 30 scientists from Russia, Ukraine and Romania will take part in the conference. The conference proceedings have been published in a book with the volume more then 360 pp. and placed to internet. Download, 57 Mb.
The conference is co-financed by the OSCE Mission to Moldova, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Transnistria and by National Endowment for Democracy via Eco-TIRAS, by support coverage of Moldovan and other conference participants’ costs, proceedings printing, and transport.

Международная конференция «Геоэкологические и биоэкологические проблемы Северного Причерноморья» пройдет в Тирасполе 9-10 ноября 2012 года. Конференция является общей инициативой Приднестровского государственного университета, Министерства сельского хозяйства и природных ресурсов Приднестровья, и неправительственных организаций “Eco-TIRAS” (Кишинев) и “Экоспектр” (Бендеры). Такие конференции имеют целью объединение усилий ученых Приднестровья, Молдовы, Украины и России по обеспечению устойчивого управления природными ресурсами региона Северного Причерноморья в условиях изменения климата в странах с переходной экономикой. Особое внимание на конференции будет уделено вопросам управления трансграничного Днестра, что явилось объектом недавнего международного проекта, поддержанного международными организациями OSCE, UNECE, UNEP и ее программой ENVSEC.
На конференции будут заслушаны более 170 докладов, в том числе 60 ученых и представителей NGO из Кишинева, а также более 30 ученых из России, Украины и Румынии. Материалы конференции опубликованы в виде книги объемом более 360 страниц и размещены в Интернете:Скачать, 57 Mb.
Конференция поддержана Миссией ОБСЕ в Молдове, Министерством сельского хозяйства и природных ресурсов Приднестровья, Фондом NationalEndowmentforDemocracy через Eco-TIRAS. Она пройдет в помещении ПГУ.
